Privacy
Croosly is built to be private by default.
Your stats stay in your browser. The solve times, streaks, and completed-puzzle lists shown in the app are stored in your browser's localStorage. They don't sync between devices, and they're gone if you clear your browsing data.
Anonymous solve events. When you finish a puzzle, Croosly sends one small record to its database: the puzzle's size and number, your solve time, and a random ID generated in your browser the first time you play (stored in localStorage as croosly-device-id). That's it — no name, no email, no IP address kept, no fingerprinting. Clearing your browser data resets the random ID. We use this only to understand which puzzles people play and how hard they feel.
No cookies, no ads. Croosly doesn't set cookies, doesn't run ads, and doesn't share data with third parties.
Third-party services. Croosly loads a few things from external services:
- Google Fonts — Playfair Display and Libre Baskerville.
- unpkg.com — React 18.
- Supabase — receives the anonymous solve events described above.
That's it.
